While nearly every vendor will have at least a few stimpaks for sale, some chems will need to be purchased from one of the vendors specializing in chems.
They can also be purchased from wasteland vendors. 
Chems can be found lying about individually or inside containers. ¹ - chems do not stack only one may be active at a time. After the war, new chems were invented alongside the pre-War variants, created and spread by post-War groups such as the Great Khans, based on chemistry lessons taught by the Followers of the Apocalypse. The airliner contained a hidden compartment with a manifest including multiple chems, weapons, and cash. Įvidence of illegal drug trafficking can be found in the wasteland, such as within the wreckage of Skylanes Air Flight 1981. Examples of such drugs include Mentats, a pre-War "party-drug" originally developed by Med-Tek for medical purposes, Buffout, a "sports-enhancement" drug popularized by athletes, Psycho, a combat-enhancement drug developed at the behest of General Chase, and Med-X, a painkiller found in many hospitals. A save game might get bloaty or corrupted, you might need to reinstall some files from the game but otherwise it's all fixable.Chems are substances created both before and after the Great War, resulting in both positive and negative side effects. Your PC isn't going to catch fire because of a mod. Naturally there is an element of risk, but it's software. There are some really great mods out there, especially on the Nexus. I don't really need to be targeting NPC's anyways really.īottom line. The outfits look good and work well otherwise. I play with a couple of outfits that do this but just avoid VATS targeting those NPC's wearing them because 1. I read somewhere that this was bad mesh imports or the dismemberment segmentation. Most outfit mods are generally safe, though there can be an issue with some where targeting an NPC wearing such an outfit with VATS will cause CTD. 
(Which is all part of the fun of modding right?) those mods which break precombines/previs can have a performance hit so read the descriptions and notes before installing them. They are scanned by Nexus and also should be scanned on download by your own machine.
